anatomy test parts and if you are looking
for solids (not everybody is), find out if they are solid
in your preferred CAD program.

Should that not be the case straight away,
do try changing import settings, or "heal" the part.
If in doubt please have a look at our Info page, your software user manual may also be helpful.

There is of course the fact that a user of,
just to state an example, Solidworks Standard
will hardly be able to make a NURBS solid
from an STL import, though he should be able
to create one from any STEP import, while
a Solidworks Premium user will mostly be able
to make a solid out of both.

An expert ProEngineer user with the right versiony
may even im port the mesh (dxf) skeleton snd creste
a solid assembly from that...
