SOLID ANATOMY
Skeleton, Spine, Skull
3D Anatomy

Human anatomy 3d data of the skeleton, spine, skull
in solids (assemblies) for Solidworks 2008,9,+
or in iges, step, etc., also the heart and brain
in formats iges, step, etc., surfaces and solids )*
ALL OTHER 3D human anatomy parts
in formats STL or DXF.
What does it mean ?

Well, with CAD software people are used to thinking that
3d geometries are solid - however "solid" is
an illusion come true by definitions only -
a hoax of sorts, though an agreeable one.

A solid 3d body, closed on all sides is really made up
by manifold 3d surfaces whose borders are more or less
close together. How close together exactly is defined
by the diverse CAD programs which you use :
these definitions differ from program to program
and this is why a perfect solid in one program
may turn up as a surface model full of "errors"
in another - that is, before you correct
these "errors" - this can often be done by tuning
the import settings but sometimes more knowledge
is needed. Many CAD users are not prepared for this,
but it often just has to be done.

The problems are usually easily resolved with
technical 3D data, cubic and at right angles, but complex
anatomical 3D models can stretch patience and software
abilities to the limits... we only can try to help
a bit here and there.

1) We offer as Solidworks assemblies
(version 2008 or newer) these 3d human anatomy parts:
spine, skeleton, diverse bones.

2) We offer as surface models (which can in most cases
and programs, but not all, be made into solids) these 3d human anatomy parts :
heart, brain, spine, skeleton, diverse bones.

3) We offer, as mesh models in formats stl or dxf
(the latter useful for ProEngineer only),
absolutely ALL existing 3d human anatomy parts
as can be seen at our spezialized,
mesh(animation/visuaization)-oriented site.
